Typically, when a person is asked how they are doing, they are able to reply "I am happy" even if they are woefully unemployed. If a person's relationship is failing but his or her career is thriving, the typical reply when asked the same question is "My career is going great."
Work hard but concentrate most of your work on the things that matter most, your relationships.
